East Asian typography and calligraphy is one of
my favourite art forms and design forms
That I explore in my free time when I'm not doing my design work
It's just there's a lot of history there with East Asian countries
And their cultures and their art
So seeing their calligraphy here celebrated and brought to light
Is honestly what we need to do with a lot of ethnic calligraphy
And I love that we're not getting fonts for the language used
In East Asia
But we're getting the techniques of the calligraphy in English and Arabic
It gives you an insight how things could look if there is a multicultural society
That uses different languages, but within the same calligraphy techniques
It's an interesting topic. I explore a lot in my free time so seeing this is honestly amazing
I already see fonts that I am familiar with like the ARIGATOUGOZAIMASU
It's such a clean almost bauhas-like font with its shapey-like strokes
It's one of my favourites. I just really like boxy fonts
