What a hard life I am living
When I take along time -I am slow
When my boss takes a long time -he is thorough
When I don’t do it -I am lazy
When my boss doesn’t do it -he is too busy
When I make mistakes -I am careless
When my boss makes mistakes -he is human
When I do something without being told -I am over stepping the boat
When my boss does it -that is initiative
When I take a stand -I am bull-headed
When my boss does it -he is being firm
When I overtook a rule of etiquette -I am rude
When my boss slips a few rules - he is original
When I please my boss -I am apple-polishing
When my boss pleased his boss -he is co-operative
When I get ahead -I must apply brakes
When my boss gets ahead -that is hard work
Come to think of it --it’s a real hard life I am living
